What do you do with the lavender afterwards – compost???? Can any herbs “used up” be composted or can this be a problem for the compost pile?
I have a separate compost pile just for all the leftover herbs after making medicine. Depending on what the herb is soaked in, they can be a problem for the compost pile

I do use this, I like to use my candle warmer for this in several rooms in the winter, it makes the whole house smell like spring. LOL yes, I think of spring in the winter and I think of winter in the summer 🙂

Yes, you can use any kind of lavender.
When you are finished with the water you can add it to your bath tub when you’re ready to take a bath. You can also use it for a foot bath

Hi, This tutorial is for house fumigation, so any lavender is fine.
And, I don’t use Spanish lavender for topical use in other herbal preparations.
If you can’t manage to grow it, where is the best place to buy fresh or dried lav plant?

HI Sandy, that is the great thing about lavender, you don’t have to use the flowers, you can use flowers or leaves or both at the same time.
I am not picky about which lavender i use. As long as it has a strong aromatic scent, which most lavenders do, but there area few that don’t have much scent. The one i am using is a lavendula antustifolia, but don’t feel like you need that. have fun
what about essential oils? Probably not the same. I use to live with abundant lavender plants….but no more!
