Garlic

Botanical name: Allium sativum

Part used: bulb, leaf, flowers

Gifts from this plant: Garlic contains multiple sulfur compounds that are antimicrobial. Garlic boosts the production of white blood cells, helping to fight off bacteria, parasites and viruses. If you don’t like the taste of garlic, cut a clove in half and rub it on the bottom of your feet to help fight a cold. My favorite cold fighting garlic remedy is to mince 1 clove of garlic through a garlic press and mix it with 1 teaspoon of honey.
